Moorhead would be a good idea. Gus Malzahn, if he gets fired from Auburn.

Sadly, its all wishful thinking....no way BD gets fired mid season or even mid contract. The population of CT would not abide 2 high priced Coaches on the payroll!

Then it's high time the mega donors get together and storm the admin. building, with a buyout check in hand.

come on .... seriously?

Dead seriously. The entire long term viability of our athletic program staying and competing at a national level is riding on the Diaco crazy coaster right now. It's time to disembark.

Time for Diaco to go. Grab TJ for 750k and we are way ahead of the game, if cost is a concern. God knows how far ahead we'd be if we stuck with that guy. Instead, we went BobbyV's all talk no show BS.

I have always thought it was a huge mistake to send TJ packing and I said so at the time. The players responded very well to him and he won three of his last four games. He won more games in half a season than Diaco won during his first whole season.

Anyone notice the program last week for Maine when comparing the coaches, Maine's coach said first season with a career record of 0-0.... Disco in third year, failure to show us his awful career record as head coach here

TJ Weist. . . . let's see, he took over after PP got the axe after getting blown out at Buffalo 4 games into the 2013 season. From there they lost their next 5 games by an average margin of 37 to 15. Then finally they came back to win at Temple after trailing 21-0, then won their last 2 home games convincingly over Rutgers and a horrible Memphis team. And all with Casey Cochran leading the way, who at the time looked to finally be the answer at QB.

So that's 8 games where TJ seemingly got things turned around after an 0-9 start to win the final 3 games of the 2013 season. That's his sample size. Do we know he would have been the answer if he had stayed on? Especially with the way we lost CC so soon in 2014? No way to tell.

I saw Penn State hired him to run their offense. Why hasn't UConn ever wanted to bring him back in some capacity?!

fwiw, having been at PSU-Pitt yesterday, Moorehead's first half offensive wasn't much of anything to talk about. PSU might've been shut out in 1st half if not for special teams.

In 2nd half, the offense was opened up more and he went uptempo. His QB has the arm for out patterns, but doesn't have a very good O line for protection. Then again, special teams afforded PSU decent field position.

So if I were going for a coach from PSU, it would be their special teams guy.

Can we keep Bob Diaco as coach every day EXCEPT gameday?

Literally, he's doing great developmentally, recruiting, motivationally, managing staff, developing gameplans.

But turn the lights on and he's deer in headlights stupid
