Any thoughts??? I cant right now maybe except for USC. Didn't they have a high SOS. I think the loss in the PAC 12 tournament hurt them?

Was really hoping to see Temple squeak in somehow ---

I thought UVA was a shoo in... but after hearing the committee head talk... it made sense that they didnt make it.

Temple and Virginia probably deserved to get in the tournament.

Virginia, yeah....I thought they would make it.

With the Ok St tragedy, I would like to have seen Ok St make it after battling through the tough season. Being one of the first four out saddens me.

I had Temple and Virginia in. The committee selected Middle Tennessee and Florida. A case can be made for Middle Tennessee, but Florida surprises me to the point whre they were not even among my final cuts.

At least Texas and to a lesser extent Florida have the talent to hang with the big boys for a while. Texas beat A&M twice and mildly competed with Stanford for a while.

How in the world did Kansas make it in??? I know they've had injuries, but come on.

I would not call it a snub, but UNC is notably absent. The second tier of the ACC did not fare well.

Virginia did not get snubbed. They only had two Top 100 wins in the ACC (Wake Forest & NC State). Their Top 100 out of conference wins: JMU, Richmond, Appalachain State ....none of these teams made the field. Plus, Virginia lost to Texas (another bubble team).

Florida wins vs. the field (Hampton, Samford, Georgia, plus two wins over LSU) Wins over Georgia and LSU twice trumps Virginia. Also, Virginia did beat Tennessee, but got swept by UNC.

No way UNC was getting in the field. They had 14 wins vs. teams with RPI 200+...

Texas was sub 500 in conference...but did manage wins over Oklahoma and A&M twice. Also count the win over fellow bubble team Virginia.

Temple should have gotten in. I read that their SOS was very strong this season.

UNC should be banned from the tourney simply for scheduling 14 teams with RPI of 200+. :D That takes cupcake to a new level. Even Magnolia cannot compete with that.

The Owls had an extended slump that included a couple of very bad losses that I figure allowed them to be pushed aside for big name BCS schools like Texas.

You're probably right but I'm all for giving the "little schools" a shot. Plus the fact that Tonya is the coach had me rooting hard for them.
