Everyone who was 50/50 for the draft has declared for it by now. Everyone besides Hazell of Louisville and Cauley Stein of KY who was leaning has entered.

All that's left to hear from now is Deandre, Boat, and the Harrison twins.

The scary part for Boat is hes not on any list on any draft in any year on any site. If he leaves I wish him great luck but he will be playing in Europe ---if he stays he has a chance to move into a much weaker draft with a full year at the helm.

That site says DD would be picked in the "late first to early second round" somewhere between picks 20 and 35. There are 30 picks in the first round, so according to this site, DD has a 2-in-3 chance of being a first-rounder. My guess is he goes.

As noted, Boat in nowhere to be seen, and is not even listed in the "still undecided" list. I still think it's likely he leaves, and plays overseas. I doubt he'd work his way into the first round next year, no matter how well he plays, given his height and body build issues, which will never "improve". If he can earn six figures playing basketball in Europe or Asia, might as well get one extra year of earnings while he's young.

Of course, selfishly, I hope they both return. But I will wish them well if they decide to leave.

If DD goes, he can move up in the team by team work outs and the combine. So he has a chance to improve his position.

I know i have a bias towards underestimating pro potential, but i just don't see the Harrison twins in the NBA any time soon. Height is nice, but Boat and Bazz ran circles around them.

Aaron and Andrew Harrison have decided against NBA Draft, will return to Kentucky for sophomore seasons, source tells Yahoo Sports.

And that's two more guys DD feels he will have dodged. He is gone.

For Boat, it's a question of how eager he is to play professionally, wherever that is. I'm coming around to thinking that, given his physical limitations, there really isn't anything he can do to play himself into the first round next year, barring a POY-caliber season. If Boat is as eager to turn pro and indifferent to obtaining a degree as he has sounded in previous offseasons, he too is likely gone.

So 5 UK players that were on the fence are coming back. Let's say they all left, did Calipari have 5 recruits on hold to replace them?

Kentucky is the easy preseason #1. It's sad to say but their team could be unreal next year.

Preseason # 1 means absolutely nothing, just that you have a target on your back. Harrison Twins are over hyped and Boat and Bazz proved that. In the tourney , it's all about 1/2 court D and offense execution. The Twins need to add the D dimension to their game before they consider nba.
Boat needs to stay and expand on what he did in the tourney to even be in the conversation of a first/second rounder. He grew tremendously the last month of the season and now needs a strong senior campaign. As for DD, I would like to see him back to get stronger and to improve his handle.

I don't know about that. Randle and Young were by far their best two players and they are both leaving. From what I understand, their recruiting class this year is Calipari's weakest since he came to UK, although still better than most, but no big-time difference maker. They will be good, but nothing close to unreal...

I thought DD was ahead of both of these two anyway. Austin from Baylor and now Pothead McGary from Michigan are bigger problems for DD.

So does squid even have schollies available for his incoming Freshmen? Seems a bit shady.

Doesn't matter. You have about 4-6 college hoops talking heads who pick 2-3 teams every year and hype them to the heavens. Kentucky will be one of those teams simply due to the amount of McDonald All Americans.

I agree with you though, besides Randle, Young, and the twin who hit all the buzzer beaters, I wasn't that wowed with any of their other players. And that class was the most hyped ever. Lost 11 games. If that is what qualifies as being the second coming in college hoops these days than so be it.

The Harrison twins staying may end up a problem for them. Andrew doesn't really have the PG skills necessary, and now he's going to have to defer to a freshmen PG. More to the point: they don't play D.

They have a ton of talent returning (Harrisons, Cauley-Stein, Johnson, Poythress), but they lost the two players who matter (Randle and Young), and I think they might end up with real chemistry issues.

Calipari is definitely going to have his work cut out for him next year. A lot of highly touted recruits and former recruits and not enough playing time to go around.

yeah but the problem is regardless of draft status, he has the same chance of sticking in the league if he's a 2nd rounder next year or undrafted or late 2nd round this year. Even if he plays in Europe or the D-League, he will be earning money. I just feel like his ceiling in the draft is very low, so he's probably gone. I know they said they came together and will leave together, but Daniels has so much to gain by returning.

If Daniels has a solid year and gets a lot of double doubles, or even just a bunch of 20+ pts and 8 boards, playing like he did against Iowa State, he can and should be a late lottery pick in next year's weaker draft. I think Deandre would be a bit foolish to go this year, its such a loaded draft

I'm not exactly sure where their baskets come from this year. The Harrisons are good players but I don't think of either of them as a go-to scorer. Ditto for Poythress and Cauley-Stein really has no offensive game to speak of. Dakari Johnson has some capabilities in the post so maybe he's the one.
