No points so far. Been short on all of his shots. Mid range shot didn't look bad and his moves have looked decent. Just isn't putting the ball in the basket. Runs the floor well and looks pretty good on defense. Has shown some butterfingers a couple times. Looks like he's rushing his game a little.
Pretty rough so far... But you can see the potential with his handle, quickness, and ability to run the floor. Great athlete. He has been good defensive presence around rim as well.
Plus he seems like a good kid, handled himself well in interview the other day. He'll be a good one, eventually
He finished with 14 pts, 20 rebounds and 9 blocks.
I will tell you what - if he works hard the kid can be a monster. Some of the offensive moves with him putting it on the floor and going to the hoop you cant teach guys his size to do. He is very athletic. He kept running the floor even when he didnt get the ball. Will he come in next year and dominate? No. He is better than Nolan right now. Add in that he had only been playing hoops for a few years and his ceiling is pretty high. I am very very happy KO signed this kid.
I didn't get to see the game but based on the interviews and highlights I've seen I'm very excited about this kid. As mentioned, his motor seems to be constantly high, his wingspan is enormous and he seems to already have a bit of a game with his back to the basket. Plus he seems to be a very nice, coachable kid whose grades are important to him I'd be surprised if in 4 years we're not singing this kid's praises as an all-time Husky great.
