It really looks like they were serious at Storrs when they decided to "expand the brand." Maybe next it will go international and the Huskies will be renamed Manchester CT United.

Totally agree. Loved CPTV and their commitment to UConn WBB, but ...
I think SNY will be great - may have a few growing pains as they work out their plan, but so far - fabulous. They have some great ideas and seem to have embraced the Uconn program's history and chosen coverage folks that are well versed in the lore. We have already gotten some well written stories from their blog which is a nice addition to the available coverage. I was also excited to see that they will cover the post game pressers - liked getting the Uconn site quotes but they only ever posted for home games and having video will be a nice addition (whether it is actually broadcasted or just posted on-line.
For those debating whether to spring for the 'sports package' to add SNY vs. the cost of the streaming - 5 months of sports package isn't going to be much more than the streaming and having dealt with streming here in FL for the last few years - go with the sports pack. No matter how well the streaming is done, there is just no comparison to broadcast - there are always some games that have issues whether from the original site or the local provider - delays, quality breakdowns, restarts, etc. For ATT Uverse I believe the sports pack everywhere is $10/mo. as an addition to any TV package they provide or $50 for the whole WBB season and you will pick up a few other teams' games on a limited basis. That is less than the streaming cost I believe and there is no cost to subscribe and then unsubscribe at the end of the season.

I get SNY with the U-200 package. I don't know if that's just because I live in CT though.

Pretty sure the sports package is available on Uverse as an add on to any package - it is included without additional charge for the Uverse 450 package. The way they list it online is a little confusing.

That is correct as that is how my parents in Branford got it. One doesn't need the super duper all in package.
 
Anyone know if that full SNY coverage is available on their streaming site? Or will it just be the games online and the rest via the tube?

I got so lucky. Got to view the huskies on CPTV my entire life and the exact year I ship off to Syracuse, Uconn move to SNY.
 
BTW, speaking of SNY and CPTV, got an email from CPTV today regarding UConn programming, and they have a section in the email for SNY programming, in addition to their own.
