The only thing that was really out of whack last night was the sequencing of when we were real good and when Pitt made their move.

UConn looked like world beaters in the 1st half...(who are these people and what have they done to my Huskies ;) ) and rather pedestrian in the 2nd half. Pitt picked it up in the 2nd half.

The running game wasn 't as smooth in the 2nd half with the exception of the one nice long run.

Let's face it, if Whitmer doesn't throw that horrific INT, we'd be a pretty happy bunch overall.

A horrific interception would have been returned 100+ yd for a Pitt TD.

Inopportune, yes.

Horrific? - Not by a long shot.

In general I like aggressive play-calling. Even if it doesn't work, the aggressive mentality is important in football and also challenging the players' ability to make plays is what they need to improve.

It was a great play call, in any circumstance except that one. But, even so it worked out OK. Chandler will learn not to get too excited by a surprised defense and wide open receiver, and keep an even keel. He seems a quick learner on the emotional side of the game. It taught the team more than three handoffs and a field goal.

We're lucky it didn't cost us the game, but it didn't, so we can now be grateful that they got a great learning experience which will improve the passing game.

If they stop handcuffing Whitmer you would see more 24 pt halves, handcuffing=conservative, let the d win games is the wrong philosphy. PP finally got it when he let his qb throw that pass to Philipps to win the game. About time coach!

Correct POV. Conservative doesn't get it done these days when offenses can put up points at a very fast rate.

Well...any score are that point for UConn puts the game out of reach. After the INT, Pitt goes 80 yards and scores to get within 7. And the entire crowd and fan base is thinking the game is in jeopardy...

Call it what you want...
