Boatright: 6-11 FG, 4-8 3P, 7-9 FT, 23, 3 REB, 5 AST, 1 STL
- Now 42.1% from 3. Really has taken his offensive game to the next level.
- His 3 at the end of the shot clock was a life-saver for our momentum
- Proved it is possible to put up a quiet 23 point game. Makes it look easy
- 5 AST, trusted his teammates and it definitely paid off today

Purvis: 9-16 FG, 3-6 3P, 7-7 FT, 28 PTS, 4 REB, 3 AST, 3 STL, 4 TO

- Phenomenal shooting day for him on all three levels. 28 points is a huge total. Didn't see that coming.
- 7-7 FT stands out. Visibly more confident there today
- 3 AST and 4 REB... solid for Purvis. He was finally involved beyond just taking shots.
- 3 STL, huge for the defense. Hounded his man today providing extra fast break opportunities.
- 4 TO. Momentary lapses in awareness (stepping on the line again) are frustrating, but considering how big of a role he played in the offense today, he was solid with the ball.

Hopefully this isn't another Columbia "break out" and he can actually build off of this performance.
That dunk is one of the best ones I've seen from a UConn player in a long time.

Hamilton: 5-8 FG, 2-4 3P, 4-4 FT, 16 PTS, 7 REB, 3 AST, 1 STL, 1 BLK, 2 TO
- Led the team in rebounding again
- Continued his vastly improved FT performance
- 3 AST. Not big, but understandable as Brimah wasn't a big factor offensively.
- 14 second half points, all in the last 8 minutes.
- 62.5% from the field. Been waiting on him to shoot a good percentage.
- Had an clutch steal and a hard block. Has become a more versatile defender.

Amida Brimah: 2-4 FG, 0-2 FT, 4 REB, 3 BLK
- Quiet offensive day for him. Had one nice jumper though.
- 0-2 from the stripe. Very hit or miss area for Brimah.
- Most important stat: 34 minutes played, vital as an impact defender.
- 4 REB in 34 min is ugly, but at least he brought some rejections.
- Only 1 defensive rebound. Thank god for Hamilton.

Phil Nolan: 1-1 FG, 2 PTS, 3 REB, 1 AST
- Phil Nolan made a mid-range jump shot. Dreams do come true.
- Was pretty sure handed, played more decisively.
- Played great on-ball defense, continues to take time from Facey.
- Had an assist. Probably our only big who actively looks to pass (grant he's likely afraid to shoot most nights).

Kentan Facey: 2-4 FG, 2-2 FT, 6 PTS, 2 REB
- Had a nice looking jumper.
- Only 2 REB, his rebounding certainly has tailed off.
- Needs more strength to aid his defense and rebounding.

Terrence Samuel: 0-2 FG, 0-1 3P, 2-5 FT, 2 PTS, 2 REB, 1 AST, 1 TO
- Wasn't feeling it today, even from the FT line where he is typically solid.
- Limited turnovers, although his dealing with the press was puzzling.

Omar Calhoun: 0-1 FG, 0-1 3P, 0 PTS, 1 REB, 1 AST, 1 BLK
- Poor Omar. Really needs a good shooting game to get back on track
- Had a block and definitely has kicked his defensive intensity up, likely to keep himself on the court. Only 11 minutes tonight.

Notable Team Stats: 22-29 FT (75.9%), 9-20 3P (45%)
- Another good free throw shooting night. Our worst free throw shooter bested our top two.
- Great 3 point shooting game. Cassell being hurt has really helped us become more efficient from 3.

Big win tonight. If Purvis truly does improve after tonight, and Hamilton keeps his scorching hot play up, no reason we can't win out, and we'd be a different offensive team. We're playing our best ball when we need it most. Cheers!

Great stuff! Thanks.

In regards to Boat's improved shooting from 3 (42%):
-You can tell he's really worked on his 3-pt game. He can hit them in a variety of ways now... catch-and-shoot, step-backs, off the dribble pull-ups, heaves as the shot clock is winding down. Really impressive.
-That high percentage is even more impressive when you consider how much energy he is exerting for this team night in and night out. He's handling the ball a lot, running the offense, and playing hounding defense on the other team's PG. He plays a ton of minutes. That normally makes your legs tired and affects your percentages, especially from 3. For him to be putting the offense on his back a lot of the time and still be shooting such a high percentage from 3 when you factor in all of the energy he exerts, it's remarkable.
