I'm trying to think of a good reason to be packing heat when you're going into a lot with thousands of other people who are consuming alcohol. Wing nuts amuse me.

Good news for us is that if we ever need to defend ourselves we can always overtake Cabelas and grab their stash.

On the surface there appears to be no reason to need to carry a concealed weapon to a football tailgate. When schools, civic organizations, or local governments start insisting that weapons cannot be carried to more and more places, it creates another baseline of places where weapons are not allowed to be carried. Thus, potentially making criminals out of people who wish to carry a concealed weapon.

For the record I would leave mine at home if I were to visit the tailgate.

Yeah the point was really that a bunch of ACC schools have similar tailgating rules and their fans have similar complaints.
