There is no way in the world this tournament is going back to Orlando. If UConn is buried in this league they will host it along with Memphis.

I certainly hope so. Virtually no neutral fans, just small contingents of traveling fans (ours above all). Unsurprisingly, UCF couldn't even turn out a respectable crowd for their game.

But you gotta love this guy holding a UCONN sign all alone in one end during the Tulane-Memphis game haha

It's Hartford and Memphis. Cincinnati or Mohegan Sun before New Orleans or Philadelphia.

Like the one guy with a Temple sign behind the basket in the UConn/Cinci game.

If anyone believed an NBA arena couldn't handle a conference tournament then three days off before 6 games on the next weekend. LOL.

Philly and NOLA could be nice host cities

No they aren't. Not a single person there cares about Tulane or Temple and clearly no one travels. You have to go with good programs that draw locally. You have UConn, Memphis and Cincinnati. Everywhere else is death.

Who in their right mind in the AAC thought, hey UCF packs in around 2k in their home arena, let's put the tourney down here and make it as far as possible from the 3 schools that could actually sell out their arena.

The MAAC draws more for a Sunday night semi in Springfield. You can't make this league up.

What was the percentage of UConn fans at the arena? Looks like about half uconn and a mix of the rest.

Can't wait to go back to Hartford next year and play UConn in a de-facto road game. #nomojo

Maybe they are trying to build a fan base. Orlando is a major tourist destination, as opposed to Uncasville.

At least with Mohegan you'll get a bunch of walk-ins. I know people that go to the casino every weekend and if they saw a basketball game going on they'd buy a ticket and watch the game, then go back to gambling. Heck, if it was at Mohegan this year I'd have gone up with a bunch of friends who I am slowly converting into UConn fans. They wouldn't go to Hartford but they'd spend a weekend at the casino

Hopefully it will be in the championship for once, or at least not 'in quarters. It was mind-blowing to watch Houston and Tulsa play last night knowing that they both finished ahead of us in the standings.

I miss MSG, I miss NYC

although I'm saving a ton of money, and I'm more productive at work too

I'm ashamed of the empty arenas, that's just wrong

For the 2014 final against Louisville they closed the top ring and sent everyone to the lower bowl. There were still empty seats. It should stay in Hartford.

We hold the conference up. It should be defacto here every year.

I have no idea why they don't play it at CFE Arena at UCF. It's in Orlando, its a new, modern arena, and you only need to fill 7k seats instead of SEVENTEEN THOUSAND!

If UConn didn't make final last year would have been friends and family. That is why it's more about local program than building.
