With their third Big East loss of this season, Syracuse is now unable to match UConn for best two-year regular season conference record set in 1994-95 and 1995-96 (33-3).

So UConn has the best single-season conference record (17-1) (tied)
Best two-year record (33-3)
Best three-year record (49-5).

But, but, but - if you simply take the best 27-game stretch which overlaps the last 16 games of one season and the first 11 of the next, Syracuse has the greatest Big East run of all time. Unprecedented success!

After putting up a 7-11 in 1996-97, we then put up a 15-3 and another 16-2. I'd have to imagine we have the best 5- and 6-year records, too.
