Always liked Sid. It seemed like whenever he found his way into the game, he always provided a nice spark. Case in point the buzzer beater 3 vs Wichita St to send the game into OT.

He also turns it over 3.3 times per game & is not (statistically) making as many impactful defensive plays as he did here. BLK/stl%.
He Never cracked 60% from the line his 2 years here. Hope his ft & 3pt percentages are indicative of him spending lots of time this year on his jumper. Rooting for him to do well.it’s a good situation for him where he can play thru mistakes cause quite frankly, the “next man up” doesnt have nearly the talent he has

Watching his games a bit. Often he's the go to when they need a bucket. Watched most of Valpo game, I know slow night, and he was efficient and led the team with 16. He looked good. Crazy thing is he is there go to and can do more. He looks much more assertive and confident, but still looks a bit passive. If he's casually avging 13 and 4, he along with the staff should push him to average an efficient 16 and 7 which appears would be mutually beneficial for Sid and SIU-E.

Sid's team plays on ESPN+ on Thursday, 2 PM against Austin Peay, one of the better teams in the OVC. It's the only game on during that time, so a good chance to catch Sid during work.

Playing the 4 at SIU-E, Sid will probably have the task of guarding Terry Taylor, one of the better mid-major players out there. 6'5 230 senior averaging 19.5p and 10.8r playing nearly every minute of every game.

That matchup alone should be very interesting.
