Kahari Beaufort (East Hartford) 2014 vs. Ke'Andre Fair (Weaver) 2016

Two of Connecticuts best prospects. It should be quite a showdown and I'm looking forward to going to the game in East Hartford tonight. Other than the game the other main event will be eating at least 3 foot long chili dogs at the world famous Augie & Rays on Main Street in East Hartford!

Word has it that KeAndre is the real deal and a PTP'er. Just a Freshman. One of the best point guards in the state a Freshman. Already scored 33 this year on 7 three pointers against NW Catholic.

Kahari Beaufort did not start the game. #30 KB has immense raw talent. He didn't come into the game until 4:43 left in the first quarter. With 1:30 left to go in the half he broke away from everyone and electrified the crowd with a thurderous dunk. After the dunk Weaver ran a fast break off the inbounds led by KeAndre Fair. KB as mentioned in his twitter https://twitter.com/IAmCt30 executed a monster block on Fair blocking the shot so hard it crashed off the back board and started another East Hartford fast break. This kid has a great handle and can execute passes with precision. It is beautiful to watch when he is actually focused.

East Hartford PG and captain Nick Fenton is a great little floor general for East Hartford. He was working his magic all game.

EH is a very good team. One of the best in the state. Beaufort has many high major offers for a reason. He has NYC swag.

On the down side he does not focus for long periods of time and becomes disengaged with the action periodically. It was almost as if he was holding back and could take over when ever he wanted to. In this game he decided not to take over and finished with around 10-12 points. Usually that point total would not warrant a rave review. In this case it is apparant the potential is there for him to help UConn. This kid would need to follow Ollie closely and learn to be more disciplined.

I think Simsbury Freshman Rayon Christie looks just as good as highly touted Freshman KeAndre Fair. Fair played well and has a steady handle but his shots were not falling from the outside tonight despite a decent looking stroke. Both Fair and KB missed 2 free throws. KB took one 3 pointer and it was all net.

Thanks good update on some CT HS hoops.....

The fact Beaufort only shot 1 three scares me about his passion and attitude!! Haven't heard a ton of positives about the kid from the coaches I know in state.............

I've heard that East Hartford has a deep team and KB doesn't really need to score all the time. I'm going to check them out when the play Windsor on feb 8th. KB vs JWF.

I hear Wilby in Waterbury has a very good team this year led by senior point guard Walter Wright, I'm interested in seeing their 6'10 freshman Shawn Coles who started playing in the past week or so after being injured to start the season.

Unfortunately I won't be able to check out Coles because I don't live in CT. anymore but my friend refs games and he keeps me updated on some of the CT. and Mass kids. Says there is more and more young local talent lately.

I used to go to Augie & Rays all the time as a kid. Is the one on Silver Lane gone?

I never went to the 1 on Silver Lane. Only was aware of Main Street Augies!
The one on Main Street was the original one. Then one of the owners of that one broke off and started one on Silver Lane. I'm sure that one closed since the guy died and his sons have other restaurants to run.

It's long gone. But do we know he died?
