I see that UDel is 16-3....12 wins in a row. I believe 2 of their losses were when Elena
was out....the only loss with her playing was to top 10 Maryland. I think UDel is done with OOC games.
They may well run the table and move up from their current national #25 ranking.

The NCAA committee may discount a bit the two losses when she didn't play. Maybe they get around a
4 seed? UDel hosts the first weekend...survive that and the NCAA might regard a UConn/EDD match-up in Bridgeport as having serious sizzle potential.

I would like to see that matchup.

The issue with Del is quality wins, or lack thereof. They've beaten Villanova, Princeton, & Duquesne. All decent teams, but enough to warrant a #4 seed?

I think they're still down in #6/#7 range. A second round matchup with Penn St?

"Showdown" is hyperbolic at best....

They could get downgraded to an 8 and wind up in Storrs.

No they can't. They're a host. That's why I think a Penn St matchup is possible -- Nittanies would stay somewhat close to home.

Thanks for the reminder. They are hosting. They could get PSU, maybe Maryland again.

Does anyone outside of CT or Deleware care about this match up? It was 4 years ago.

This statement leads me to think you believe there's a national audience for WCBB. There really isn't. With the exception of a small few (many of whom are on this board), there aren't many who will watch a WCBB game that doesn't feature "their" team.

No just the opposite. I doubt anyone cares about this is my point. On this board maybe about 50-60%, elsewhere, nada.

I'm sure ESPN would try to make someone think they care about it.

JMO but I think we end up with the winner of the SEC and right now that looks like Tenn. If thats the case it will be a sell out and the media hype will be at an all time high. UConn by 30+.

Love the thread, but I'm still crying in my beer to a sad country song. Please don't hold it against me:

I'm hopeful that they will finally put Tennessee in our bracket. 2-4 years back, we would have crushed them by 50. This year it would be closer to 25-30. They are a long way from being competitive with UCONN. Of course, their fans think they are a final 4 team.

We play them it would be no more than a measuring stick for them as
to how far behind us they really are NOT the delusions that they are a
FINAL 4 TEAM the closest they get to that would be playing us and see
what a 5 straight going on 6 is The former players they had at the ND game
are the last players to make a FINAL 4
I for one have no sympathy for the program When PAT'S book comes out
see how many of you are going to want to bury the hatchet GREAT SET UP
LINE FOR SOMEONE LOL

LadyVol seems headed at this point for a 2 or 3 seed. In a contrary opinion I think they have some real talent and are capable
of a deep run....they are also capable of a flame-out early. Losing the kid to an injury...if she is out for the tournament....hurts.
They have a top-shelf recruiting class coming in next year....I don't think they have any key players graduating this year....is that correct?
I think their potential is greater than the other top SEC teams....Kentucky and Georgia and South Carolina among them. Whether
that potential is realized back-to-back-to back come The Dance is another matter. I think Texas A&M might be dangerous in March when
all those frosh are almost sophs. Other than getting blasted by our beloved all of their losses so far are to top level teams....and are close ones.

Overall if I am a LadyVol fan I would be mildly pleased with this year's performance so far....and thrilled with the class coming in....and be cautiously optimistic
that Holly is the one.
