I see everybody every week. I think it's important to acknowledge, that we didn't sell out, but we still got 37k + to a game between our own 0-4 team and 1-4 team in mid October for homecoming. SUre there was reason for "a new hope", and all that, and as far as a fall football day, it doesn't get much more perfect than today......but still......UCONN fans are the best, and that's not just because I'm one. I put pictures up on the social media, and people everywhere, are paying attention to UCONN. The stadium will sell out regularly for a winner.
I've been around. THere are very few fan bases, like UCONN. THe reasons why? Many, convoluted, in depth, basketball......football.......but the fan base is huge, it's rabid, and it wants to win. And I don't mean compared to michigan, or LSU 75-100,000 fans in the stadium huge, I'm talking about MILLIONS of people, that pay attention and expect to win.
Huskymania is real, and it is just waiting, waiting, to be tapped for real at Rentschler stadium.
I sit here now, thinking about the gorgeous day today, and just imagine what that place would be like, if we were able to reach the level of playing as a top 25 ranked team.
The fans are what make it possible. THere are only three games left in the season at home, and I'll be at them all. Win or lose, the rest of the way.
I hope that the husky blue bloods there today, will do the same.
I hope that the administrators, the coaches, the players all continue to work hard and get us some wins.
Good night all. This loss, will be easy for me to put in the rear view mirror. I don't know if that's good or bad. i'll let you know in a few days.
