They’re aged 6 and 7. For Christmas they got me a small Jonathan Huskie to keep me company and lift spirits after I have open heart surgery on Jan 10.

I’m Covid free but stupid pandemic - the recent surge is interfering with our travel plans here! A shared frustration with many of you, I’m sure.

Kudos to the kids; best wishes to you for a full and speedy recovery. Please update your Boneyard pals when you’re on the road to recovery.

Prayers for fully successful surgery and a speedy recovery (hopefully with a few UCONN games to watch to pass the time!).

Surgery was delayed by a week to the 17th. It went well, fortunately - and learned that it was failing at a worse rate than initially diagnosed.

Most vital signs are good; just waiting for the heart to beat on its own more strongly than it’s doing now. Hope to be home sometime this weekend.

Go UConn!

Hang in there Cabbie191! One heart beat at a time. Keep us updated on your progress.

Keep those good spirits up Cabbie - better times are ahead for you, your heart, and your travel plans to visit those precious grandkids...!

Get well soon! I would say there are lots of games to watch to keep you entertained during recovery, but it might not be the best for your condition if there's a close game or something.
