Shout Out to Dan Hurley

He was relentless with the officials during the timeouts last night. More than in any other game this year. Probably a good move considering how we know BE teams will defend us. We can't have full-on hugging every time someone tries to come off of a screen.
It doesn't stop. Alex threw his hands up a bit more last night, looked to get attention from the refs, nothing. Mullins at one point was on the near side, right next to the ref. Defender was bear hugging him as he made his cut, ref was looking cross court at the ball, missed the entire sequence. I think it's time to start realizing the hugs are coming and twist/fall down.

That just leads to 5 on 4 the other way.

I haven't seen him make even one public mistake this season. Not pre-game, no outbursts during a game, nothing after or between games.

Outstanding job, Coach Hurley.

Sometimes its ok to get a technical given the situation if needed

Vary rare circumstances. The idea a coach getting t'd up fires up his players is batshit stupid. If the team has the game pretty much won and their coach gets tied up they might get a good laugh out of it, but that's about it.

Opposing BE coaches who see UConn two or three times a year and in years past (BET) know that one of the few ways to slow down UConn's offense is to be physical with us. Grab and go. And keep doing it until or if the refs start calling those fouls. Our guys just have to expect it because it ain't gonna change. Play through it. Demary was even quoted as saying in the last presser that he prefers physicality because it allows him to play with more freedom.

Stating the obvious- BE away games are even more ridiculous. Just gotta deal with it. Take away UConn's motion offense and three point shooters with contact .

Dan's been great this season. Sense that we won't see anything like last year again, exceptional circumstance trying to chase the illustrious threepeat. He put a lot of pressure on himself alongside the inflated ego, double whammy. He was trying to make lemonade out of a lemon of a roster and couldn't accept that it wasn't built to do what he wanted. Shortened off season full of attention didn't give him the chance to assess and tend to the upcoming season properly.

Someone wired like him after a B2B is kind of a lightning strikes scenario.

Yeah, not a secret anymore, all about what the refs allow you to do. If it's ramming through picks and holding the cutters/movement, it will stifle our sets some. We'll see plenty of that in the BE.
