Should we be recruiting JAPAN?

UCONN alum and former Husky QB David Pindell has resurfaced, LOL.

I think he was the kid that Randy pulled from the PA JUCO and subsequently sold to the fan base as QBOTF.

Not so much.

Sure, why not. Think outside the box. Get the next fball version of Ichiro (if such a thing exists, I guess a fball version of Ichiro would be some squirrely running back) before anyone ever spots him.

If he was the QB on this year's team we would be 5-3 instead of 3-5. We'd also be favored in 3 of our last 4.

Should we recruit Japan? Maybe, I guess for football. Definitely not for hockey though
relatively nat and liv falling GIF by E!

Wow didn't know there is a football league in Japan. There is no doubt there are talent over there. After all, Japan gave us Shohei Ohtani who is the greatest talent in baseball history ever. There are lots of speed all over the field. UConn could be the first team mining for talent over there.

These guys will think the crowds at the Rent are huge.

The announcer has a Pittsburgh accent: "Touch-dahhhn!"

American football is hard to explain to people from other countries. Due to amount of equipment, number of people, and the size of the field required, it is hard to see it getting popular like other sports. It is surprising Japan even has a league like this.

Here is a game a bunch of Notre Dame alums played against Japan 10 years ago with Lou Holtz coaching the Irish.

Like a bunch of other sports, we brought it over after WW2.
