Should G-League players be recruited?

I don't mind guys going back to college, that not the problem.

The real problem is that college sports needs a salary cap and also needs to limit payment to four years and the person you pay needs to graduate from any school within a certain timeframe or you get penaltized.

The goal of student athletics is to get an education and it has to be positioned this way

If you do that, you'll be on the way to fairness and equity

This has never been true with big time football. Kids have always been getting paid (under the table) and most of the top athletes are there to play football and not go to school. If not for football most of these kids would not be accepted into these schools.

No but I bet they get recruited soon by somebody. Actually why not recruit NBA bench guys, too. Assuming they left early and have eligibility remaining. Why not?

I suggested in another thread that, depending on how his year turns out, Hawkins might want to come back for a year or two to hone his game.

I understand that this is the mentality. Guys only going for the financial benefit.

My whole point is that it has to be fixed to make it fair, if that's even possible.

I can only speak for myself. But I think it sucks. I think the euro thing sucks too. I like the rings we got off the portal to be sure, but i used to watch and follow every top program. That is impossible now. Look at IU. Not one single returning staffer or player. The overall product is way worse for me.
