He's definitely not awful. We know all too well what awful can be, but it's not what we saw in 2015.I agree. I think he's awful, but that's not to say he's not the best we have, which is what it is.
So anything be can do or others to improve is welcomed.

I agree with the general message, though. A QB battle in camp isn't a bad thing this year. We know what we have as a baseline, now it's about building depth/improving.

From the limited stuff I saw during the Dog House Party, Shirreffs is far and away the #1 and Garrett Anderson looked like the #2. TD looked like he still had a ways to go
I always thought Whitmer had the makings to be a fine QB. Whether he was more talented than Shirreffs or not I don't know. The problem was that the stupid twins just about ruined him physically and mentally. By the time Diaco came along he had to play behind a new and under-developed OL. Kid just never had a good shot at being successful.
Reality is, we don't know what we have behind Shirreffs. I think losing Boyle was a real blow to depth and we can only
