Shame on Sports Illustrated, if ever a commemorative edition needed to be done, this is the year..The storyline are endless..Kevin Ollie in his second season as coach following a legend (Jim Calhoun ) after unable to play in the NCAA the previous year. The UConn women's team becoming the winningest team in Women's Basketball and Geno surpassing the great Pat Summit with 9 Championships and the piece de resistance.. The UConn Huskies Mens and Womens teams are National Champions in their respective sports. A dual championship done not once but twice by this University and no one and I mean no one has even come close. We should all clog up SI's email box and demand something be done...Any other school it would be a no-brainer. Still no respect from the public. You know what the Hungry Huskies do... Win Another Championship in both Mens and Womens Basketball and then, they have to call us a Dynasty, Blue Blood, Elite Program, just fill in the adjectives. Remember as Kevin Ollie said "we don't chase championships, Championships chase us".

I missed the announcement or thread or whatever - is SI not doing one? Or are they behind?

meh, I'm sure SI get's tired of all of the overstock, it's hard to estimate how many people will buy comemorative stuff. When you've won 4, people probably already have stuff from the other 3. If it was Syracuse, SI would deffinitly make a set, cause when's the next time they'll ever reach that again?

No biggie, as long as we have the FF and champ trophy to put in the case, I don't care much

That's your opinion but a lot of people who didn't buy any of the others would like one. The last time a team won dual championships was 10 years ago. Think of the new generations that have prospered and grown up with the huskies. I think it's foolish and recklessness of SI not doing one and we should start a grass roots campaign here on the BY to bully SI. Start with emails to the editor. Our slogan We Want OUR HARD SI...

Yeah it does seem completely mad to me. There are a hundred storylines they could cover and I didnt see many of them covered during the tournament. You'd think they could full up a beefy magazine edition and get all of us sheep to buy it, hell I bought 4 copies of the shabazz cover just because.

Theres Ricky and Kevin comparing their title to what these guys did
theres Ollie coming after a legend and his 'father'
theres Shabazz's staying true to the program
Kemba passing the torch to him and telling him "you're next"
theres a few page article just interviewing former huskies and getting their comments and reminiscing about their time wearing the blue and white
boatrights emotional journey
Calhoun interview on what its like to watch this run from the outside, what he gives to the kids and what they give back to him
Giffey/Bazz and to a lesser extent Tyler on the journey it has been from winning as a freshman, to the rocky road they got thru, to a title as a senior

Dom Amore doing a tell-all about why he cant type in fluent English for the life of him
