I zoned out midway, There is nothing new in the article - at least as far as I read. In any case, sponsor money is only one of the shames. Non existent academic standards being another.

Actually, the article got better later, as I wasn't aware of some of the specific issues and lawsuits, especially regarding the baseball players and selective enforcement.

I hold firm to an assertion that it is not all "fixable" - but clearly the current system is not working in anyone's best interest, except maybe the NCAA itself's.
