-> “I feel like I’ve definitely taken a step up, not just today but over the time of being here. When I first got here I had to learn the offense, learn a lot of new people coming from Kentucky and not being from up north, but I definitely took a step forward,” said Porter, who redshirted his freshman season with the Wildcats under offensive coordinator Liam Coen, now the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. <-

-> “I think just consistency of being able to catch the ball and being able to lower his body, lower his center of gravity and get in and out of breaks because he’s a 6-foot-3, 218-pound guy that can run. And sometimes when you’re that size it’s not easy to just lower your center of gravity and slow your momentum and redirect and gain momentum and accelerate. So those are the two things he needs to work on,” coach Jim Mora said.

“But he’s a hard worker, he’s a great kid, he loves to work, he loves to practice. … He’s had a couple days where I think he’s kind of, he called it ‘in his head’ a little bit too much. We talked about it during practice and I saw him really elevate his game in the second half of practice.” <-
