To be more successful amongst other things I feel like this team needs Bazz to be a little more aggressive on offense. Too many times does he defer to Boat to go iso and set up the play. However it seems whenever Shabazz is in attack mode we score almost every time because quite frankly Shabazz gets more calls than boat. I'm not saying Shabazz needs to drive every time just more often than he has in several games this year.

This is in no way a slight at either Shabazz or Boat just an adjustment that I feel could jump start the offense in times when we are sputtering.

Disagree on Bazz needing to be more aggressive. I believe the opposite actually. I think he's done a great job of not forcing anything.

Some times, he appears to be deferring, but it's really just the result of him knowing that he can't get in foul trouble because he's too important and we need him on the floor. Also, his shoulder is probably still a little tender so he doesn't want to over-exert himself driving/penetrating.

He's doing a great job of running the offense and giving others opportunities for set plays in an attempt to develop our younger guys. He knows that other guys have to get going on offense (Boat/Omar/DD) in order for this team to be good.

Boat hasn't been great lately so Bazz has needed to be more of a stabilizing factor rather than an aggressor. We won't win many games with Boat/Bazz both turning the ball over and playing poorly.

When crunch time comes, Bazz hits BIG shots and gets to the line and hits his free throws. I couldn't be more happier with Shabazz's development this year.

All of those things are true but there should never be a game where Bazz only Takes 5 shots. He is our best player he should never take that few of shots. Not saying he should go full fledge chuck mode but when we are struggling he needs to be a little more aggressive just to calm the team down.

Not to mention that this year is about building the team up. We need to try and fail with Dre and Omar because the growth of these guys is paramount to our success next year in the post season. We play for March, this ain't Syracuse. Omar is blossoming. Dre's been getting more assertive and for the most part making better shot selection. I wish he hit a few more in the center of the zone, he alligator armed a lot of them, but they were the right shots.

Bazz has been there precisely when we need him. Its become like clockwork. I have a few people I text with during the games and the text "Bazz." goes back in forth 4-5 time a game now. Coming up huge in big spots has become routine for him.

Bazz's biggest play of the game last night was his pass to DD under the hoop for the hoop and harm.

True which is why I feel he should have the ball more because he is so skilled at so many things to use him as essentially a SG seems like a bit of a waste.

Shabazz is the hero UConn deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

Bazz is playing at an extremely high level. Any criticism needs to be put in the context that the team would have a losing record without him.
