if some kind of presser is scheduled for tomorrow the news is very likely to be 'go pro'.
If nothing is scheduled then it is more likely that a simple info release from the athletic dept will declare
he is back next year????

Press conferences are usually bad news, but it wouldn't be completely unprecedented if he were to schedule one and announce he's coming back.

As I said in another thread, he has to know his chances of having an actual career in the NBA are very low, regardless of when he makes himself available for the draft. He's a 2nd round pick, and thus a non-guaranteed contract, whether he goes this year or next. I think it'd be a bad decision on his part to rush the process when it looks like overseas ball is in his future regardless. And I think he gets that.

I'd be absolutely stunned if he decided to leave.

Coach Kevin Ollie, who succeeded Calhoun, is still waiting on junior Shabazz Napier, sophomore Ryan Boatright and possibly sophomore DeAndre Daniels to make their decisions regarding the NBA draft before the April 28 deadline. Napier, the most likely to leave, has said he will make his decision Thursday or Friday.
"I know he has reached out to a couple of people, I've had him in my office," Ollie said. "He's trying to make the best decision for him and we give him that respect. Hopefully, he makes the right decision at the end."
Ollie said he thinks Daniels and Boatright are "leaning toward coming back, but nothing is etched in stone."

Kemba was on campus the other day. I'm hoping that part of his reason for showing up might be talking Bazz into staying, but that might just be wishful thinking on my part!

Just saw something worrisome on twitter--Boatright responding to someone "you already know" and the answer..."get it in and good luck with it"

When are you going to post the thing that was worrisome?

How is this worrisome? It could refer to just about anything...hw assignment, draft, girl he met last weekend...

Nobody who's not a first rounder calls a press conference to announce they're returning.

Well, Shabazz told Amore he's not planning a press conference tomorrow. It'd be really hard to picture him announcing his departure via press release, but who knows.

My belief all along was that Bazz would come back until I heard otherwise.

I hope that's what we hear tomorrow...

Marcus Smart is most assuredly a first round pick, whenever he decides to come out.

I misread his post. Still, Johnny O'Bryant held a press conference. Doug McDermott just had one three hours ago. Russ Smith just did it yesterday.

How can Shabazzkets not decide to come back duel Russdiculous for AAC supremacy, have a better year and lose COY honors to someone on a school bailing from the conference?

I agree with your other examples but Russ Smith held a press conference to announce he was coming back because all of the experts had him as a lottery pick. He's been all over the press during and after the Ville title with people asking if he'd return.

You're not reading those types of articles about Bazz. Russ Smith's Dad has been in the news more often and I don't mean that as a slight to SN. I love the kid and think he gets zero respect from the national media. I want him to be a pro and make as much coin as possible. I selfishly want him to come back and truly think he'll end up better off if he does. That being said, only he knows what's best for him and I'm sure as he'll be successful either way.

I hope he holds a press conference and says he's returning because he needs a ring for his other hand.

Then gets up and walks out.

Nobody had Russ Smith as a lottery pick. No one

I just did a quick Google search trying to find an article to prove you wrong.

I couldn't find a single one and admit I was completely off target with my statement. Take the championship out of it, why the hell does that kid get so much ink?

I don't understand why people constantly make up things on this board and state it as fact. Not one person had Russ Smith as a lottery pick, he is a second rounder. I've seen people post here that Bazz would be a 1st round pick, again not one person outside of this board has said that. Bazz would be lucky to be a 2nd round selection.
