So 60% of the first team came from one (supposed mid-major) conference.

Wasn't Bazz left off the Wooden watch list?

Yes, he was left off the Wooden final list, not the Watch.

So he's not getting the Wooden. I believe the final 4 get invited to the ceremony. Nick Johnson took Shabazz's place.

This has as much weight as the other 4 in determining the Consensus team. So they are all big honors

Well, I was off-handedly refering to your post where you thought the NBC.com AA list was a "big honor" , so glad you got your story straight now.

They are all big honors. But sure denigrate a kid being named AA by a national media publication.

Now go back to playing World of War Craft.

This is saying Napier is on the Wooden All-America team, but it's not really clear since it names more than 5 players.

I think the other poster meant he was left off the Naismith finalist list.. which doesn't bother me since fan voting is a component. Might as well be a popularity contest. Bazz and Dougie McBuckets are the only 2 consensus 1st team All-Americans this year (named to the 1st team of every major All-America team)

Not true. McDermott and Parker were. Napier was on The Sporting News' Second Team.

He is still a "consensus" All-American along with those two, Russ Smith and Nick Johnson. Those three had 11 "points" out of the 12 possible points because they were First Team in 3 of the 4 major publications the NCAA counts (AP, NABC, USBWA, TSN).

The 5 highest scores (regardless of ties) make the Consensus team.

Honestly, if you look at TSM, it is DeCourcy and 2 interns. I looked up who covered even one college basketball story the entire year, and it was Mike D. and two 20-somethings. Might as well have been a Boneyarder. Boggles my mind how TSN is one of the 4 AA teams for consensus.

Yeah I was about to say that.. TSN is garbage for anything other than baseball coverage.

The Wooden always screws UConn Camby over Ray Allen. Nelson over Okafor. Ferdette over Kemba. Leaving Bazz off the finals list. They hate us.

Big dog over donyell
