If I remember correctly, at one point he was angling in the media for a UConn offer but I don't think we ever were really after him.

Aquille Carr is a super hero. I guess now that he's lowered crime in the US he wants to lower the crime rate in Europe.... Actually, based on the domestic incident with his girlfriend, he'll likely lower the US crime rate by leaving. Bon voyage!

I remember this was the kid from a few years ago who reportedly had a contract offer to play pro in Italy while still in high school.

http://rivals.yahoo.com/highschool/...50000-italian-pro-offer?urn=highschool,wp1862
The article says he was already 17 as a sophomore in April of that year, meaning he'll be well into his 19th year by the time of his high school graduation. Like Jennings, this move would appear to be academically related. Also, he was in negotiations with an Italian pro team as a sophomore and the NCAA is ok with that?

Good for this kid. It's absurd (and very cruel) that the NBA engages in the restraint of trade. Why should he do something for free that he can get paid for? At 5'7, the NBA may not be for him anyways. Best of luck to the kid.
