I have only been posting since late 2022. Although I found the BY or version of what it currently is many years ago I did more reading than posting. So for me I really have no bad UConn seasons under my belt as a regular poster. I will say this, if I did not regularly read and post on the BY as much as I do, this season may have been easier to go through. I remember as you all do the dark ACC days or even The pre Calhoun and early Calhoun era and although I/we have been spoiled as a fan(s) there was a time where third place in the season standings and pretty much a guaranteed ticket to the tourney would be an acceptable year. I jumped on that Hurley thread about transfers and was rightfully censored for that post. But it really had no malicious intent. The whole point of the post is that it seems we are finding more ways to be unhappy fans than we need too. With that I have slowed my roll on posting. Decided to take a shot at trying to enjoy the BE tournament from a more casual fan standpoint. If we catch lightning in a bottle great. If not I will root for them in each remaining game be it two or nine. We have pretty much beat up every issue with this team, I will steal a @Hans Sprungfeld line although not write it as eloquently. Let’s enjoy the next part of the season focus on the positives and create some great mojo and root for our team to go from unranked to number 1. If it does not happen I am good with that as I know with this coach we are now in a position to compete every year. UNC and Kansas fans are both in the same boat. Dickinson coming back was supposed to mean the same thing Alex coming back did. UNC well that just may be the coach imo. I believe Hurley will continue to evolve in the way he constructs rosters. As long as we are a top three conference team and don’t have to sweat out tourney bids and throw in a few years of top three in the country with legit chip aspirations, I am more than happy to sign up for that as we continue through the Hurley era. So there is my contribution to the post season mojo we need…….lets go UConn!!!
