The Stewie Mojeff and Morgan Tuck class is a perfect example. Stewie was clearly the best player as a freshman but in times of adversity they never had to lead until their senior season. That class was not without adversity (there was ND, BYU and ND again) in Junior season. Each time it was an upper class man that provided the required leadership.
