Appears decision was made early to not challenge Pope. We just don'yt try to get the ball inside.

These referees are horrible. AO is as soft as baby . SH's coach is two feet into the court when UConn is at their basket.

I have never seen calls like this. They are murdering our guys on every play.

What the !? We sit on 3 time outs when our team is clearly gassed? Our bigs are playing soft as . We cant get any sort of call. We clearly need JC back.

Blaney is afraid to get after the refs, but thats not gonna be what decides this game.

We need to keep running our stuff, eventually the calls cant be ignored

As are their goofy walk-ons .. why have they not been told to sit down?

Jim Burr and the zebras have decided who they like in this game. And it's not the Huskies. Unbelievable no-calls on successive possessions. It appears someone will have to punch Napier before he draws a foul from the middle-aged Irish guy.

story of the firs half is pretty obvious, no offensive flow and way too many turnovers.

Calhoun would definitely help (so would competent refs)

I think UConn gets called on 75% of those. Game started with two tick tack fouls. Followed by a slaughter. WTF!

I would imagine that practice is going to be tougher than usual tomorrow no matter how this ends up.

It makes me want to shoot myself in the face.

And this halftime show is just as nerve racking. UConn picked apart the zone during their run. SH then changed D and UConn was screwed.

Respect your opponent.

A common problem with UConn teams after cupcake season. Most TOs were due to slop--not respecting the opponent . The good teams are nearly as good as you are.

Protect the ball. Protect the lead. Get on the boards.

A few things:

guards need to take care of the ball quit trying to split doubleteams

alex and tyler need to get tougher - pope is the man right now

refs are flowing with the crowd and george needs to actually coach

the refs need to get that little pc of crap cheerleader off thecourt named willard.....way too far on the court

The officiating could be better, but it's not the story of the half by a wide margin. Turnovers are 16 to 3 and Uconn is barely even trying to get the ball off the glass. Lamb is letting himself get manhandled without much resistence. The guards keep trying the same stupid passes.

UConn is playing the most undisiplined basketball I can remember in 2 years, and Blaney doesn't appear equipped to coach this sort of game. He has great strengths in other areas, but not here. He looks as though the game is just happening to him without him trying to do anything to manage it. Seton Hall came out with more intensity, but this is the kind of game Calhoun would be cracking heads on. If a player makes the same mistake several times in a row, it's no longer the player's fault, but the bench's.

I think the second half will tell a fair amount about this team. If they fold up, I'll be severely disappointed in their character. A deficit like this on the road is probably going to be too much to hope to overcome, even if they play great, so a win is very improbable at this point. But at least go down fighting.
