- Reed asserting himself early, but SH doing a better job against him than St J did.
- Same strategy the Hall used last time around - "foul at will... they can't call 'em all".
- Around 8 and a half mintues left in the 1st half, 2 possessions in a row we got a man all alone under the rim for a layup. Great setup. Ross, then Alex.
- Down by one at the half.
- Alex is stroking the threes -- hope it carries to the 2nd half
- Alex has 15 of our 32 first half points. Without him, we'd be dead in the water.
- Mullins hasn't made a three, Demary has zero points & Ball hasn't scored from the field.
- Seton hall leads in all the shooting percentage columns 50/60/86% to our mediocre 44,/36/75%.
- We have slim leads in rebounding and dimes but trail in TOs, steals and blocks. UConn 14/8/8/3/2 to Seton Hall's 13/6/7/5/5.
- As horrid as the stats are, we're only a point behind. If we play anything resembling our normal game in the 2nd half, and we should be OK. But that's a big IF.
- Solo finally hit a three.
- And another!
- Demary got his only point of the game with 13:18 left in the 2nd half.
- In an 8 point hole with 8:13 left, but we go ahead at 5:20 off Mullins' first made 3 of the game.
- Foul shots brought us back again. 3 point lead with 18 seconds left.
- Down by three, Hall tried to draw a foul on an awkward 3 point heave. No foul. On the inbounds Solo earns a trip to the line, making it 70 to 65
- 70 to 67 with 4.7 left.
- Solo back to the line.
- 71 to 67 final.
- Alex's final home game ends with 23 points on 8 for 11, including 5 for 6 from deep. Also 3 boards, a couple dimes, 2 steals and 2 blocks. We can forgive his 4 fouls on his celebratory last home game.
- Tarris seemed to work his way out of his first half funk and ended the game with another double double.
- Seton Hall's 'foul at will' approach didn't work out so well in the 2nd half.
- Solo was only 2 for 9 from the field, but saved our butts from the foul line late.
- I'll admit I was losing hope around the 8 minute mark, when we went down by 8. But as soon as we cut it to 4, I felt much better about our chances.
- I find it hard to comprehend that they had 9 blocks to our 3.
