and who else did we interview for the job? Dont we think ahead? This is the single most important thing right now for our university. When the time came we werent prepared. What a huge disappointment in leadership

Um, Suzie Herbst has all the ACC Connections that UConn needed. (Duke alum). W. Manual brought the B1G into play (Michigan alum). In the end, it got UConn nowhere.

because we're joining the MAC for football?

Tom Jurich's utter lack of ACC connections didn't seem to affect Louisville at all.

Because we wanted a rockstar. Meatloaf is considered a rockstar, correct?

Our AD was in the Virgin Islands having mai tais and the Louisville AD was lobbying for his university with the ACC. So how did that work out for the Huskies. Let's face it he and President Herbst did not understand the rules of the game, they focused on our academic standing and blew it. They were novices.

Every indication is the ACC made a football move. The state of UConn football and its football reputation is 90% Hathaway. PP hire - Hathaway. Rentschler being 40,000 - Hathaway (and maybe the state and East hartford to some extent). Ticket price/points structure - Hathaway following Lew Perkins' model. Bad relationships in the Athletic department with Calhoun and Edsall - Hathaway.

The only thing I can attribute to Manuel is the optics of being at the Paradise Jam, and to me that's not a big deal (that's why they call it optics). But whatever.

We have a winner! And still not buying this was a "football move".
