I had read some synopsises of the lead up material but didn't realize the politics were so complicated. 2nd - I think a couple of your points about Rey and Finn make sense, and we will all find out eventually. In regards to Rey's force powers, I just wouldnt be surprised if JJ and Kasden didnt think that far into it and just decided to make a fun movie. If the next movie reveals some prior changing or not I will be ok with it.
