If Ren's identity was hidden, maybe you figure Han can buy his way into Episode VII and IX before being offed, but die he must in order to further the development of the new heros. Just like Obi Wan, Qui Gong and every other mentor of every hero dies in every other myth. So should Ren's identity have been hidden better? Maybe. I lean yes, at the moment. But the only way you do that is by making Han the only original cast member (not counting robots and wookies) to make a significant appearance in Episode VII because you can't have Princess Liea and Han Solo interacting and failing to discuss that little fact. And if Abrams had dropped Liea, he loses the ability to say the original cast is returning. Because it isn't. Han's returning with a Luke cameo . . . . That's a difficult trade-off to consider, so I give them a whatever, we'da feared his demise no matter what anyway. [/QUOTE]
