The fact that our water bug from Texas (a.k.a. the '8th grade escapee') will soon be playing her last home game doesn't quite compute

Good question. It might be the 27th because it is a weekend, and that is better for the families. Or it could be the 29th. Would love to know which, but it is probably too early to tell.

It is typically the last home game at Gampel which would be the 29th - Monday. The reason it might have been moved to the 27th (Saturday) would be if it was felt a Monday game would cause more issues for the parents of not just the senior players but also the senior managers. I think the team would make that adjustment if it made travel plans easier for Moriah's parents for example.

Jim Fuller says it's the 27th. Secondary market prices seem to indicate it and UConn web site selling tickets say so as well. #4 and #30 hanging from the wall on 2/27/16. Be there if you can.

The last time the last home game was on a weeknight, they held Senior Day on the preceding weekend. Has it ever not been on a Saturday or Sunday?

Some years ago the seniors at that time asked UCONN to have it on the weekend so their parents wouldn't miss work to attend! It's been on the weekend ever since!

Oh, the Senior Night ceremonies better be 2/29. I purchased tix for my daughter and me to go to this game together as a Hanukkah gift.

Moreover, I don't find 2016 aSenior night depressing. It's an opportunity to celebrate the 2013-14 team one more time with the names of all five starters from that season on the Wall. I saw Bria and Stef unveiled in 2014, KML in 2015, and presume to see Mo and Stewie up there 2/29. When I do, I will take a photo of five names who won three NCs already, are contending for a fourth, have represented dual men's and women's championships, and already have combined for nine wbca AA bids. Plus they have been parts of some glorious teams, including arguably the best ever in wcbb. Even the 2002 starting five "only" has three of the names on the Wall.

Sorry, Senior Night is Saturday 2/27 vs Tulane. But you have plenty of time to reboot on tix for you and your daughter. UCONN ticket site shows plenty of tickets left.

Well, I should thank everyone for the heads up because I just purchased for 2/27 as well. USF will be an interesting game, whereas Tulane is a no-brainer win for UConn on Senior Day (calling it "Day" because it's an afternoon game). So at least my little girl gets to watch Stewie's Senior Day!
