Bazz for the effort in putting the game away. Something he didn't get the chance to do against Maryland

Niels. Set the tone in the first half when teams were trading hoops.
Rashad was watching and thinking Niels had cajones grande.

Bazz - orchestrated the game beautifully. Settled us down when Yale had a mini-run and folks were getting antsy.

Giff's shooting was awesome, but I don't want him to start being just a three-point specialist. He didn't get on the glass like we needed in the second half (although he wasn't alone).

I think it should be Calhoun, because the award should stand for gumption. He was firing'em early and hitting, and he drove to the hole a couple times and took a couple shots he shouldn't have taken, but they went in. That's some testicular fortitude right there. Either that, or foolishness. But what's the difference?

I nominate Calhoun for the award.

To put it simply - While Niels was great from 3, he was very one dimensional today. Bazz with his triple-double was very three dimensional. We need 3D so he get's it today.

The guy who had more than triple as many rebounds as the next best player.

NG without a second thought. He was the first half offense, and THE player that separated us from Yale in the first half.

How is this even a question? There have have been only 10 triple doubles in the entire history of UConn men's basketball and today Shabazz became the only player to record two.

Wel, Olander won the first Senor T. award, so it's really not a best or most valuable player award, but rather it's an Onions Award for Yo Soy Fiesta.

I'd give it to Bazz with Brimah a distant 2nd. I wish there was a way for someone who knows how to create a poll with everyone who got minutes, leave the poll open for 24 hours and let the vote decide.

Exactly. It's not a player of the game award.
This award is a walking set of hairy balls. You need to do more than just be the best player to be awarded a four foot tall set of walking nuts.

One testiculo for Shabazz, one testiculo for Giffey
I agree. You can't have a testiculo award for just one player. It should come in pairs.

Unless you are John Kruk, Mike Lowell ....

Bazz was the best player on the court AND the most clutch. Only time the game was starting to look in question in the 2nd half, he hit two tough shots in a row to shut the door.

Giffey damn it! His string of 3s led to the score separation! That's what opened it up for the others.

Niels was awesome, en fuego. However, a couple of those threes could be attributed to the play of Bazz, as he set Niels up beautifully.
