I don't think they're necessarily coming down hard on court storming. It sounds more like they're just giving the conference the authority to punish teams for any incidents involving player safety.

Seems silly to punish the team for student shenanigans. If there are any incidents involving students pushing or shoving players just revoke their student tickets. Just need to enforce swiping IDs to get into games. Problem solved.
