Bazz, Boat, Omar, DeAndre, Kentan, Tyler, Niels, Enosch, Rodney (practicing).....STOP IT....We'll be TOO good.....
Well said. Too many different things can happen in a one and done tournament. This is by no means a juggernaut of a team. Solid yes, but reserving your rooms in Dallas is being message board optimisitc"TOO good"? While I like this team and think they'll be pretty good (with Bazz back) I'm guessing you are very young and haven't been watching UConn hoops for very long. During the 1990s and 2000s UConn probably had at least 10 teams better than this one. Only 4 of them got to the Final Four.

O.K., I'll try to do that later today.List 'em Hoop. We got time. I'd like to see how many of them had a Junior/Senior back court that could fill it like Bazz and Boat will next year.
Definitely will see you! It will be my brother's and I 3rd time see them winning it all in person in TX. I can't wait!!Bazz, Boat, Omar, DeAndre, Kentan, Tyler, Niels, Enosch, Rodney (practicing).....STOP IT....We'll be TOO good.....

Funny, I was writing my response above when you posted that. Completely agree! This team is pretty darn good. And if you haven't noticed, it's guards that rule the NCAA.
We're DOOMED! DOOMED, I tell ya!Isn't this a hanging offense? Seems like he's putting a torch to the mojo.
Next year--we will be stacked like any top team. What I believe might be the differentiator is this team's heart and chemistry. I think we have star players go to guys and now we have a huge foundation of big men. Upfront we have Wolf(who should be really good by next year) Nolan who was looking like he had NBA caliber type talent at 6-10 late in the year Facey at 6-9 Bridah who looks like he is 7-1 and Olander. I think Boatright might have to take the JR Smith role as sixth man--still getting his 30 minutes but balancing off size on the D in the backcourt to start games.
Projection
C-Wolf
F-Daniels(he is taking the Carmelo Anthony 4 man spot in starting unit)
G Giffey
G Calhoun
G Napier
6th man Boatright
C-Bridah
F Facey
F Olander
F Nolan
F/G Leon T
G Samuels
I always get nervous when I see freshmen listed as key players.O.K., I'll try to do that later today.
I definitely love that UConn will have very experienced and good guard play. That's paramount in college basketball. Guards dictate college basketball. I think the questions all reside around the frontcourt. How good will Daniels be next year? Will Wolf be here and if he is will he be ready to give them even more? Can the freshmen bigs heavily contribute? How good will they be? Who is going to rebound and play some decent interior defense? Can they get some interior scoring from the bigs? They can't get outrebounded like they did this year and be a national championship contender next year and they also need some more balance than just relying on the guards to score. This isn't April 1998 or April 2003 where we knew exactly what we had coming back. You want to dispute anything I just wrote?
Nah, more fun to be a fan that way.last time i'm ever being optimistic i guess!

This team heading into next year is much better than our NC 2011 team was heading into the season. Who knew in 2011 Kemba would take over college BB, AO was solid but not great, and the freshmen were much better than we expected. This team is very solid at 4 positions. If any of our freshmen become solid contributors, if Wolf can play 25 minutes and give us 10 and 8 and if Boat improves his handle and OC makes substantial improvement from Freshmen to Soph., this team is a final four contender. A lot of if's but none of them are a far reach.
