I think it's fair to be unsure/skeptical as it's an entirely different team. For Georgia to be 9th, I'm not so sure. The teams ranked 4-9 could be debated about for hours. I'm still trying to understand how Arkansas is at 4th myself.

The SEC may not want to put fire on the fuel down in georgia. Coach is definitely going to use this to her advantage and they are going to come out slugging folks literally lol . Mizzou has yet to meet its match in the physicality area so this will be different yet fun for UGA to prove the doubters wrong.

Fine by me. Nothing wrong with a little bulletin board material if it works for the team.

Personally, it's still fair to wonder how the coach's games translates in the SEC. UCF did well in the conference and improved their non-conference schedule over time but it was a small handful of games compared to what they'll see during conference play. We'll see if the pundits are correct in their assessment soon enough. On paper, they look like they'll be fun to watch.

Agree that UGA is too low. I think Ole Miss is probably too high.

As for Arkansas - you have two 6'5" McD AA's (Dauda, Wolfenbarger), last year's SEC FotY (Spencer), former 5-star recruit/UConn transfer Saylor Poffenbager, 3-year returning starter at point (Daniels), and a very solid grad transfer in Chrissy Carr to make a top 6 out of. After that, there are some questions about quality depth, imo. But the top 6 holds up against anyone below them in the conference, I think.

Are they the 4th best team? About that, I'm not so sure -- and neither is Neighbors, based on his comments yesterday. But I think the argument is plausible.

But that's why I'm not sure. Dauda was a redshirt if memory serves correct. No idea how Poffenbager's game translates in Neighbors offense as we haven't seen her play a game since last season. Does Wolfenbarger make the jump in her sophomore year?

Frankly, they should have left 4-9 blank and say "your guess is as good as ours" if you ask me. We're nitpicking their choices as it is.

Jersey was not the player she was anticipated to be for the Hoggs last season . I pray she has worked on her game and steps up big for them as a go to. Never knew Carr transferred AGAIN lol she transfers so quick its hard to keep up with which team she plays for.

Wolfenbarger played out of position all last year, and she still made the All-Freshman team.
Carr played 3 years at Kansas State, transferred to Syracuse (which was clearly not the team she thought she was transferring to), and is now at Arkansas. Do you consider that remarkably unusual in the age of COVID?

I think the SEC looks pretty weak overall which gives Tennessee a really good shot even if they don't turn out to be as good as they hope.

I'm not fully up on transfers but LSU seems #3 based mostly on the coach.

Georgia did lose those seniors finally right? They were not as good as they should have been last year. I can see a fall off.

Didn't Carr also commit or go to Baylor after Syracuse ? Or was it Louisville or maybe there are multiple Carr's lol its hard to keep up with this portal thingy . I was so confused to see her at Arkansas like how /when the heck did that happen. K-State , Syracuse, Baylor or Louisville now Arkansas ?

You are confusing Chrissy Carr with Chrislyn Carr - not exactly an unforgivable offense! lol
Thank you ! LOL i feel much better knowing there's 2 versus that one player being multi-fascinated in the transform portal LOL.

I feel Ole Miss and Florida too high and UGA and MSST too low. My basis is the players, I.e., I think both UGA and MSST have better players than most of the other SEC schools, however both have new coaches and that can be a real problem.

I think Tennessee would have to win the SEC for her to win COY. If Mulkey didn't win after that turn around and finishing 2nd last year, then no way would Harper.
