Honestly glad to be receiving a break from the UNC/NCSU/Duke trifecta in this challenge.

We are tired of dealing with Little C as well. After y'all embarrassed our region last season in the title game... it's gonna take some time to be called Little Carolina again, so Little C it is

And when was the last time a North Carolina school even made it to a championship game in women's basketball?

If I were the Blue Devils I too would also be tired of penciling in an automatic L every summer when the schedule is released and SC is on it.

That's beside the point. Let's talk about the ACC v SEC Challenge.

Just between us, but I don't pencil in a milaysia fulwiley thing during the off season.

Fine. When was the last time South Carolina lost in the ACC v SEC challenge?

Louisville is a satisfactory opponent. Although Jeff has had some problems the last couple of years due to robbery from the portal , they remain a consistent competitor on the national scene. Don’t know about this year, but I think Jeff will eventually figure out the portal.

It shouldn't be that difficult to avoid having 7 teams play either 2 consecutive home games or 2 consecutive road games in this challenge even though the ACC has 17 member schools and the SEC only has 16.

Here’s a full look at the 2024 ACC-SEC Challenge matchups in women’s basketball:

Wednesday, Dec. 4

  • Florida State at Tennessee
  • Virginia Tech at Georgia
  • Mississippi State at Georgia Tech
  • Oklahoma at Louisville
  • Syracuse at Texas A&M
  • Vanderbilt at Miami

Thursday, Dec. 5

  • Alabama at Cal
  • Boston College at Arkansas
  • Auburn at Virginia
  • Florida at Clemson
  • Kentucky at North Carolina
  • Stanford at LSU
  • Ole Miss at NC State
  • SMU at Missouri
  • Duke at South Carolina
  • Texas at Notre Dame

I think that's last year's list. South Carolina is playing at Louisville.

Yes, I took the 2024 matchups and underlined those teams who will repeat home/away again in 2025.

I think that when you are constrained by which matchups at top would be competitive it messes with what can be done home court wise.

Not sure that's the case. All you have to do is switch Kentucky to host Miami instead of the other way around, and you avoid UK playing on the road 2 consecutive season, and you avoid Miami hosting 2 consecutive seasons. I do wonder if Kentucky had a hosting conflict as women's volleyball typically hosts an NCAA volleyball sub-regional that first weekend in December and they share Memorial Coliseum.
