Watching the Gtown-Tennessee game thinking about our lack of involvement in this "challenge." I know we have a big non-conference game versus NC State coming, and a really tough non-conference schedule might not be the best thing for us considering the circumstances (new coach, little depth). Still, can't help but think that a game against any major conference team, even if it's the SEC, and especially if it were on the road, would only help us right now. A loss and unless it's a blowout, good experience situation, and a win, and we build confidence and look better to the cbb world.

Of course, someone has to sit out... "With the addition of Missouri and Texas A&M to the SEC, Two of the SEC fourteen members will be excluded. With West Virginia moving to the Big 12, three of the Big East's fifteen members will be excluded" (per wiki). Seems a little strange that they couldn't schedule some games (these moves have been known for at least a year now) so that every SEC and all but one BE team could get a game. Funny, the three BE teams out are us, Pitt, and Louisville... looks like the SEC wanted the BE to take it easy on them expecting these three to be their normal selves (they were 1/3). I have to think that A&M and Mizzou would want the game too. How awesome would it be if we somehow beat Mizzou at Gampel and AO had a 1-9, 4 board effort.

BTW, it's 18-16 Georgetown at the half. absolutely brutal game.
The combined record is 6-2 in favor of the Big East. Notre Dame schooling UK was hilarious, if ugly. Florida won brutal - they appear to be legit as hell.
