Stewie also had 3 Blocked Shots. I think at least 2 were Fowles who had 4 blocked shots against :D

Game was close with Lynx down by only 4 with 7 minutes left in 4th Q but in quick succession, Stewie nails two 3pt shots and Sue nails one to go up 13 pts.
I guess 2 UConn greats are better than 1. ;)

13-4 road record this year, broke their franchise record for road wins in a season several games ago.
Seattle had 11 AM and 11:30 AM games in N.Y. and D.C. and a game at Minny. I'd say that 3-1 is quite good. They look like the team to beat.

Beginning July 18 and through today's game, Seattle played 9 of 10 games on the road and its record during that stretch was 8-2. A Seattle win or Atlanta loss clinches first place. Seattle's next game is at home Friday night against NY.

I was wondering if their early-season success was largely due to a favorable home schedule. It wasn't.

Maya's 5 steals moved her into a tie for the league lead--with Gabby.

Whalen came off the bench in yesterday's game for the first time in her WNBA career. For those paying attention it's pretty apparent that Whalen has not been in the best shape this season.

Coach Cheryl Reeve said Whalen “physically is not able to go for long stretches” whereas Wright can, especially when it comes to offensive pace and ball pressure on defense.
