Seattle Cuts Charde Houston

Charde has had a nice 6 year career in the WNBA so far. I wonder if Phoenix will sign her to a training camp roster position.

Lauren Jackson is not playing this year and looking at Seattle's roster, they may be in the KML sweepstakes. Can't see them as a playoff contender this year. There's also talk Lauren may not come back to the WNBA the year after next either, so they might end up in the Stewart Sweepstakes as well.

The article explains the decision and it is actually better for Charde to be waived early. Better chance of being picked up.

The fourth playoff spot in the West is going to be a huge dogfight, assuming Minny, LA and Phoenix have the top 3 sewn up.
