I live in state. This is the first day noticing those purple crocus things in the yard and guessing its the daffodils breaking through too. Always gets me pumped up.

got the fire pit going tonight for the kids to have a weenie roast for dinner. End of February and having weenie roasts after dark. Who'd have thunk it. Don't like the weather, wait 2 days, classic New England.

60 in Tahoe this week. 2 feet of snow next week.

I grilled steaks yesterday. Had a beer on the deck and watched a group of golfers go by. (They definitely snuck on; the course isn't open yet.) It's a great feeling this time of year.
Tunxis and the driving range on Rt 4 were both opened, and packed, on Sunday.

My backyard overlooks the 6th green and 7th teebox at a different course in that general part of the state and no one was coming through the whole day until I saw that one random group at around 4:00 so I'm fairly sure ours wasn't open, but it could have been so sporadic that I just missed them. Shouldn't be too long though.

When does the sled hitting - I mean spring camp - start anyway? It's got to be soon if not already. I remember about this time last year there was still about 2 feet of the snow on the ground.
