When I go to the UConn site, they seem to be quite willing to sell you a ticket, but, completely unwilling to tell you where the seat is. If they can't tell me what I'm buyin', I ain't buyin'.

They can't tell you where your seats are because until the August 31 deadline they don't know themselves. After all of the donor ticket requests are in they assign seats according to priority points. One's accumulated points can change or remain the same depending on the donor's last contribution to the UConn Foundation. Some donors drop out. When that is done they can start selling tickets to non-donors. That is the way it has worked at least since I started buying in the mid 1990's and I don't see it changing. Would you rather they charge three digits for the best seats and less in waves for the rest? Those who have been contributing for years wouldn't.

On one hand, I certainly understand your information. But, it still takes a lot of .. well, let's just use the word chutzpah .. to sell season tickets to folks and not give them the slightest clue as to where those tickets are . "Yeah, yeah, give me yer money, I'll give ya decent seats .. trust me!" Particularly when attendance is declining, and just about every game is available on one network or another. I ran my own business for 15 years, and, somehow, I just can't see most of my customers being comfortable with giving me money in August with little clue as to what they were buying months later.
