I mailed in the payment for the tickets for my crew this morning. Later, I called the ticket office to ask about single game tickets for Michigan. The representative said that first they have to process all season tickets renewals received that are postmarked by the April 30th deadline. Then, if (more like WHEN) there are any seats left, 3 game mini packages will go on sale. After THAT postmark deadline is completed, any seats left will go on sale on a per game basis. He did state that season ticket holders will get first crack at leftover seats for the Michigan game. He said to call back in a couple of weeks for an update.
He also mentioned as an f.y.i. that Michigan fans have been calling the ticket office incessantly to try to buy tickets to the game. One person called & wanted to buy 45-50 tickets (Scalper?). The representative referred this person to "group sales". He chuckled after that story. The Wolverines must have already sold out their allotment (or the scalpers are getting an early start)

I went online to buy a couple of extra season tickets to donate to a friend's auction... One thing that I noticed is that the no donation required seats surrounding the visitor's section had little or no availability. My guess is that the folks from Michigan bought quite a few season tickets just to see their team play "up close" in a 40,000 seat stadium. there should be a ton of extra seats on stubhub for the balance of the games at The Rent. I really don't blame them - $190 or so for the season strip and they got seats waaaay closer to the field than what most of them probably get in Ann Arbor.

With all these UM fans buying season tickets what happens to the designated away fan section for that game?

What section is the visitor section? I've never gone to a UConn football game.
