Since it seems to be a day to discuss our rights as Americans, thought I'd alert folks to this case scheduled to heard by the CT Supreme Court Monday (according to AP 3 wks ago). This affects men's and women's hoops as well but putting it here because FB has biggest no. of tix holders.
Political operative Jonathan Pelto is trying to obtain the list of UConn athletics season ticket holders and other UConn lists (like Jorgensen, etc.) He has acknowledged in court that he “could obtain economic value from their disclosure or use” for his business purposes.
I for one do not want my info passed on to a third party for a purpose I did not intend. Hope the Supremes agree.
This is the nut of Pelto's effort according to the CT Law Tribune.
Curious what the attys on the board think, esp. bizlaw
The full CT law story and 2 other interesting stories about it.

On April 15, 2008, the University of Connecticut received a request from former state Rep. Jonathan Pelto seeking electronic copies of the payroll databases for UConn faculty, staff and retirees, as well as lists of sports season ticket holders and donors to college performing arts programs and libraries. Pelto requested the information in hopes of finding supporters for his fledgling Friends of UConn advocacy and watchdog group.
The state Freedom of Information Commission backed Pelto, the University appealed in Superior Court and won. The FOIC appealed, and the issue went before the state Supremes.Curious what the attys on the board think, esp. bizlaw
