in comparison to other bubble teams and ultimately tourney seeding I think. We played 19 games vs the RPI top 100 (9-10 record)....only Duke,Vandy played more games vs top 100 at 20 games.

Also, we only played 2 teams with rpi over 200...only WVA, Bama equal that. Kansas, Baylor played 7 over 200....BYU, Oregon played 10 over 200....basically everyone in the field or on bubble played between 4-15 teams with rpi over 200. Our wins have more value than alot of teams competing with.

Obviously didn't perform as well as hoped (let 3-4 games slip through fingers) but 5 top 50 wins and 9 top 100 wins are hard to match by other bubble teams.

I think when push comes to shove, assuming we beat DePaul ofcourse....we should be in assuming RPI/SOS continues to be major factor as it has in the past. I would expect 11 seed with only DePaul win....just want to avoid a 12/13 seed and be stuck in one of the "play-in" games.

Ofcourse we could just win the whole darn thing and get a 4 seed.....5 games in 5 days!!

Think it was 2000-2001 when Georgia got in at something like 16-14 due to its strength of schedule. Of course they lost in the first round but thats beside the point.

I just feel like there is an undercurrent of support for giving some of these mid majors a chance this year at the expense of mediocre majors. UConn needs another 2 wins to be 100% confident (I know that is not a new opinion). I think if they lose to Depaul they're not in and if they only beat Depaul they have a 60-75%.

The UConn coaching staff seems to feel that we are in the NCAA tourney regardless of the Big East tournament. Obviously losing to DePaul would not help our case at all, but I think we would still get in (perhaps have to play our way in at worst). Regardless, if we beat DePaul we are definitely 100% in... but even without that win I think we are in at this point. Obviously I have every intention of beating DePaul and think the team will bring as close to a full 40 minutes as we've seen all season tomorrow... I'm just simply discussing scenarios.

Plain and simple, I think we are in regardless of the Big East Tourney results.
