1. Notre Dame is somewhat better than UConn.
2. I'm still skeptical they're really "beat UConn three times, including twice in UConn's gym" better than UConn.

I think we can win. I was impressed with our play last night. The kids want to get Geno his 800th win tonight. We want to show ND and everyone that we don't back down. We are more athletic. We missed the opportunity of grabbing the regular season title, but we are going to grab this one. This could be Bird at the Buzzer Revisited.

But, possibly to help with the mojo and partly diven by "I'll believe it when I see it" in terms of being able to finish off a game against an equal opponent, I'm predicting the other direction. I obviously want to be wrong and see an 80-55 dismantling of the green Evil Empire. I'm going with ND by 62-60. But, like last year, the 4th time could be the charm.

If Peters gets in foul trouble and Stef does not, we win. Once again, the zebras will have an impact.

Stef is a BE tournament monster--remember last year. And Kaleena came 3,000 miles to win championships. She needs to start tonight.

Sorry guys, I woke up late and extremely groggy from my nap and looked in on the Officials thread before coming here. Since the game has already started, it is too late to post a score. However, it is quite incumbent upon UConn to play well in this game since they are, again, playing Notre Dame on their home court. Last night's game aside, we need the UConn team that lost in South Bend to show up here tonight. That team has a chance of winning.

Regarding the officials: It is my understanding that the officials are evaluated and graded by the coaches after each game, the results of which are submitted to the conference office. so, my feeling is that if the officials we tend to loathe here are so bad, how is it that they are always given the call for these big games? Maybe, given the complexities of officiating, these officials are really not performing that badly; That we, as fans, tend to dwell upon the mistakes; We have the benefit of replay, slow motion, and hindsight. However, part of the fun of being a fan is to skewer the officials, umpires, etc. About that, I fully understand.

This prediction will not count DaddyChoc. I hereby affirm that I have not read the game thread, am not watching television, and have no idea what the current score is. I also declare myself inelgible for the "You Da Man" accolades that accompany the closest prediction. the officials will let them play, keep everyone in the game. Since banging is not UConn's forte, they lose 67-61.

BTW: The XL Center needs to lossen the screws on the baskets about a quarter turn. Does anyone know if these are new rims?

Sorry Alex, had I read your post in time, I might have complied; Taken one for the team and its fans just for the mojo. Especially since I do not see UConn losing by 15 under any circumstance; Not in Hartford, not in a championship final. What we need for the mojo, going forward, is a post similar to the one that appeared last year on the men's board prior to the Big East Tournament, "Time To Take Off The Pampers."
