Whenever I see score predictions, a game I saw on March 15, 1960 comes to mind. I was just about to turn 15. I attended DeWitt Clinton HS in the Bronx which was a basketball superpower in the PSAL (Public Schools Athletic League) of NYC at the time, but Clinton got knocked out in the Sweet 16, losing in double OT to Grover Cleveland HS. But the final was to be played at Madison Square Garden between Boys High of Brooklyn and Columbus HS of the Bronx. Boys High was the Baylor of its day, with a star named Connie Hawkins. Columbus was more like Notre Dame. Of course this was boy's basketball, but I think the comparison is legitimate, at least in my memory. No one would have ever predicted the final score. It was the most amazing defensive game I've ever seen. The final score? Boys High 21, Columbus 15.
