as some have noted i'm notorious for getting this wrong. but still... UCONN is having turnover problems. even in practice this week, Geno was lamenting the problems and the players are talking about it. apparently no one knows why it's happening or how to fix it so i predict some problems today. even tho it's a home game, i think it's closer - maybe more like the L'ville game. Georgetown has been playing well of late (altho they had a close game with a horrible Seton Hall team) but they don't score very well, even against weak competition.

UCONN 62
Georgetown 50

i see our defense being better than SHU and Cinci, teams GT put up 56 and 65 against respectively. but if GT plays their overly rough and physical game (I was appalled at what i saw in the BET last year - it was disgraceful), then i think it knocks UCONN out of rhythm and we struggle a bit.

I see our vaunted defense holding GT to under 50. Bria's extra work in the gym pays off, and she goes off for 28 or so. Tiff gets back on the fast train she was on before Louisville--her long range bombing combined with 'get out of my way' drives to the hoop net her 30. KML regains her touch from the outside and adds another 20. Stef and Stokes control the boards, accumulating 25 between them. Result--86-49 Husky win...

Glad I didn't make a prediction. Would never have predicted a 42 point win against a very good Georgetown team. Also would have missed on the team shooting free throws. Have to wonder if the Supervisor of officials in the house made a difference in how the game was called.

I don't think any of us distinguished ourselves with prognostic prowess...no one wins!

No one went as high as 80 or as low as 38. My guess would have been about 60-40. I'm surprised we got to 80 with the big second half.

I had 86 to 49...I know, still not that close.

Post #7 of this thread--is it only visible to me? Am I stuck in the Boneyard Twilight Zone?
